GUEST POST | @whtlrblggdnxt | Valentines Day Series ♥ 4 different looks for 4 different plans

Valentines Day: 4 different looks for 4 different plans
(whether you're with someone or not!)

Hello! I'm super excited to be doing a guest post today, it's my first ever one! Big thanks to EricaRosa for letting me post on here! So, my name is Laura and I'm from whatlaurabloggednext.blogspot.co.uk. I'm a 20 year old student with a huge passion for blogging and I adore all things beauty/fashion related. I've only been blogging for a month or so, so it would mean the world to me if you checked out my blog and came and said hello! Today I'm bringing you a Valentine's Day post, that includes 4 different looks for 4 different plans. So don't worry, I've got your back for whatever you may be doing regardless of your relationship status. Hope you enjoy!

The Pamper Night:

First up, we have a look that everyone can join in with, regardless of your relationship status. A good pamper routine is perfect whether you're staying in by yourself, with the girls, with your man/girl or heading out to wherever the night may take you. Start off with a good cleanse to get your skin all nice and clean. The Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm is perfect for doing that. Simply massage into your face for a good few minutes, then take it all off with a warm flannel. Next you want to go in with a good deep cleansing mask. I love the Mask Of Magnaminty from Lush, but anything that says 'deep cleanse' will do the trick! Then it's time for a brightening mask. Again anything that says 'brighten' or 'radiance' should do the trick but I love this number from Ren. The Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask is perfect for giving your skin a quick boost and getting some glow back in there! To finish up, you want a good moisturising mask to restore all the goodness in your skin. Origins do an amazing one in the form of the Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask, it really makes your skin feel silky smooth. Now, whether or not you'll be kissing anyone tonight, no one likes a chapped lip. Give them a good scrub with a lip scrub, like the one pictured from Lush then finish off with a good nourishing lip balm. Finally, don't forget your body too! Give that a good scrub and moisturise to ensure you're feeling silky smooth all over for whatever your plans may be.

The Staying In/Casual Night:

Again, another one that works for both relationshippers and singletons is this simple, casual makeup look. This is perfect if you're going on a more casual date such as bowling, the cinema, a walk or even staying in with your man/girl (like me!) to avoid pricey restaurants. Also works perfectly if you're having a night in with your friends! Here we've got a light coverage base, like the Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser, paired with a beautiful cream blush, in the form of the Max Factor Miracle Touch Creamy Blush in Soft Pink. This combo will give your skin a lovely, dewy, fresh look that gives you that 'no makeup makeup' look. Next go for a sweep of a neutral cream eyeshadow, like Mac's Painterly Paint Pot and pair with a natural looking mascara such as the Avon Super Extend Extreme in Brown. Keep your brows nice and natural too with a quick sweep of a brow mascara like the Maybelline Brow Drama to finish off the look. This really is the perfect 'no makeup makeup' look.

The 'Meal Out':

Going for a meal with your partner? Going for a meal with your friends? This one has got you covered. When you're eating the last thing you want to be worrying about is whether or not you've smudged your lipstick, so playing it safe with a nude lip and smoky eye is the way to go. First up,a flawless base is needed and it comes in the form of the L'oreal True Match Foundation. Heavily contoured cheeks are a must, and the Sleek Contour Kit has your back. Add a touch of peachy blush and a dab of highlight and your base is sorted. Next up, the eyes. Start off with a primer or a base colour, I've picked Mac's Bare Study Paint Pot. Smouldering and sexy is what we're aiming for hereand the Makeup Revolution Flawless Palette is more than perfect for that. With a wide range of colours, you can choose just how smoky/brown/black/neutral/matte/shimmery you go. I've got my eye on the fourth column in as it matches perfectly with the Mac Teddy eyeliner, which looks great swept across your waterline and smudged into the top lash line for the ultimate smouldering look. Lashings of mascara is a must, and the Maybelline Lash Sensational is perfect for that. Finish up with a slick of your favourite nude lipstick, mine is Mac's Patisserie, and you're ready to go!

The 'Going Out' Night:

So whether you're heading for drinks with friends to avoid all the potentially cheesy business, or heading to a bar/club with your loved one, then this look is for you. Again, a flawless base is a must. Nars' Sheer Glow Foundation is the perfect medium/high coverage deal that doesn't look too cakey either. Next you want to contour your cheeks to give you that sexy 'chiseled' look and add a touch of pinky/peach blush, but not too much as the lips as the main feature here. Add a glow to your cheeks in form of the Makeup Revolution Goddess of Love Triple Baked Highlighter, just a quick sweep up your cheekbones and brow bone and you're good. For the eyes, we don't want to go too dramatic but a little neutral smoky eye never hurt nobody. The Makeup Revolution Iconic 2 palette is perfect, and I'm loving the 3rd and 4th colours in blended together at the moment. A flick of winged liner is also a must, and the L'oreal SuperLiner Perfect Slim makes getting it right so much easier. Pair with your favourite mascara and your eyes are complete. Defined brows are a winner with this look so use your favourite brow product to get them looking fly. Finally, finish up with your favourite red lipstick. Mine is Mac's Ruby Woo as it gives that gorgeous matte vibrant finish to your lips. This one is guaranteed to get you a kiss.

I hope you all have the most wonderful Valentine's Day, whatever your plans and relationship status! Drop me a line on Twitter (@whtlrblggdnxt) and let me know what you thought of my post, I love getting feedback! Thanks again to the beautiful Shanna for letting me post my ramblings on here, I hope you all didn't get too bored!

  3. I so want to pic up a blushing hearts highlighter, they look amazing and the packaging is so cute. Such a good idea to give people ideas on what they could use for each look without dictating the actual look too much.
