♥ December 2014 | Beauty Favourites

NARS Sheer Glow has always been my holy grail of foundations. I have dry skin and this definitely works a treat! As the name suggests, this foundation gives you a dewy, silk-like finish. It evens out my complexion and gives me a boost of radiance whenever my face needs some sort of life. It has buildable coverage for those night outs and can also be worn "sheer" on a daily basis. Hands down will definitely be repurchasing this for the third time! Staying with the topic of face products, Winter has been one hell of a roller coaster ride in regards to my skincare routine. My face was extremely dry this autumn/winter and I had also started breaking out. ALOT. Is it something I ate? maybe it was a product I tried out? Not enough water? Who knows. I have tried anything and everything to get my skin back to normal and one product that has definitely helped alot is Sudocrem. Yes the nappy rash cream. Reading up on some benefits to Sudocrem, it actually fights off bacteria and also cools down acne. On days where my spot would pop out and say hello. I would dab some Sudocrem onto the area and leave it to dry over night. In the morning I would wash my face and ta-da! The spot would have gone down and reduced its' redness. For moisturizing my body, I have been loving The Body Shops' Coconut Body Butter - a favorite within the beauty blogging community. It smells tropically luxurious. Like a lovely bunch of coconuts - without that overpowering sweet scent that can sometime be a bit too over-bearing. It melts onto your skin like butter. hence the name. I am in love with The Body Shop body butters and looking to try a few more scents. Any recommendations?
Moving onto tools for the face; Zoeva brushes are a new find for me. I cannot believe I only found out about this brand late August. Their brushes are amazing and very soft and easy to work with. I especially love the ZOEVA 221 Luxe Soft Crease brush as it does the job (and more), blending out the products on my annoyingly small hooded asian eyes. Again, another brush I am loving this year is the E.L.F powder Brush. This dense, yet soft powder brush allows you to blend liquid foundations well and even set your powders without cakeyness. I personally use it to blend my NARS foundation and it works well hand-in-hand. This brush is always sold out on the ELF website so I guess I can't be the only one raving about its amazingness?
For this festive-filled season, MAC Ruby Woo needed to be mentioned in this months favorites. Need I say more? It's the perfect, festive red. The matte finish can be drying for some people but to me, I really don't mind it as it stays put for hours and hours! Great for parties and celebrations where the last thing you wanna do is check your lips every time you sip a cocktail. Did I mention the blue undertone also makes your teeth appear whiter? In conjunction, I was never a fan of nude lipsticks, preferably, the 90's, brown/mauve lip colours are right up my alley! I have been loving MAC Twig, a muted nude-pink lipstick for every day wear. A Kylie Jenner lip trend - My lips but better is what I think of when wearing this lipstick. It is uh-mazingly pigmented and creamy.

Name one product you have been loving!

  10. Sudocrem is uh-mazing on my skin. I only use it when I know a whoppers coming out, don't use it too much since it can dry out your skin. It doesnt zap the whole spot away but you can see a huge difference xx Hopefully it'll work for you too
